FOX LEISURE CENTRE certified according to BREEAM
The FOX LEISURE CENTER’s façade is clad with the graphite-grey version of RHEINZINK-Titanium Zinc, in standing seam technology. This building contains office space as well as an experience area which provides information about sustainability and offers free access to the exhibition space where you can look into the office of the future. As a specific showcase of its sustainable approach the building is now additionally BREEAM-certified. BREEAM is a method that gives information about the environmentally relevant overall performance of a building, from planning to completion and utilisation. And the façade is a significant part of this evaluation – so, no question that this RHEINZINK façade cladding in standing seam technology with it’s A rating, contributes to this successful BREEAM certification of the FOX LEISURE CENTER in the Netherlands.
Moreover, the FOX LEISURE CENTER is part of the ‘Park 20/20’ which is the first Cradle to Cradle (C2C) working environment in the Netherlands. This whole complex comprises sustainable office buildings as well as inspiring public zones with different meeting areas, sport facilities, a park café, a supermarket and a kindergarten. Beside the FOX LEISURE CENTER three additional office buildings and the bar of the park café are also going to be clad with RHEINZINK. And with a good reason, as RHEINZINK roofs, façades and roof drainage products are also Cradle to Cradle (C2C)-certified. Like nature Cradle to Cradle doesn’t know any waste, waiving and restrictions. By way of biological and technical cycles of materials, the right products are applied in the right place at the right time. The C2C concept provides for products to regenerate into nutrient cycles, so that once created, values are conserved for mankind and environment.
